Throughout my life I have had many health problems. As a child I was often ill, I almost died from whooping cough at the age of 2, had glandular fever and Bell’s palsy as a teenager and had frequent bouts of respiratory illness and digestion problems throughout.
In my early twenties I was finally diagnosed with coeliac disease, having had it all my life. This diagnosis finally gave me some understanding of the cause of so many of my illnesses and set me on a path to learn more about my own health so that I could finally feel ‘well’.
Since then I have constantly searched for new ways to improve my health and wellbeing. I’ve learnt a lot about the enormous influence food and exercise can have on one’s health. I have also tried a number of different therapies with mixed success.
It wasn’t until I came across Bowen that I felt the quickest, most profound and long lasting results. From my very first session I was immediately taken by this therapy. I made the decision during that session that I had to learn this therapy, not only to understand how such gentle moves could have such a huge and beneficial impact on my body but also so that I could help others on their own healing journey.
Working as a Bowen therapist brings together all my passions; health and wellbeing, helping people, problem solving, educating and healing. I love working with people to identify the source of their problems and then using Bowen to heal them. Just phenomenal!
